In the heart of South London, Peckham Arches is a cool and funky event space that boasts a sprawling garden terrace and open-fire kitchen, alongside two cocktail bars and even an art gallery, offering great food and drink alongside stellar entertainment. Nestled under old railway arches, this hidden eatery serves up charcoal-grilled dishes and Mediterranean-inspired bites, and offers an ample selection of cocktails and other drinks to complement the live music and entertainment.
Peckham Arches is a lively and buzzing space that can hold up to 600 people, yet still retains a cosy and welcoming atmosphere, with its greenery and warm fairy lighting adorning the place. Every week a roster of events are put on, ensuring a fun and unique accompaniment to the dining experience. Expect stand-up comedy, live music, and late-night DJs for an unforgettable time.
The menu is just as exciting, with Levantine-esque dishes such as small bites of grilled squid with watercress and chilli lime dressing, padron peppers, and charred squash and yellow courgettes with beetroot, feta, and seasoned with za’atar. Sides include smashed roast potatoes with indulgent garlic butter, and warm flatbreads. But it is the barbecue grill which is the main event - you may find lamb kofta with tzatziki, harissa, and pickles in a flatbread, grilled hispi cabbage with romesco sauce and pangrattato, and korean-inspired short ribs with kimchi. Designed for sharing is the half roasted chicken, drizzled in an n’duja and mascarpone sauce with roasted plum tomatoes, and the grilled whole sea bream with chermoula and lemon.
If you’re feeling thirsty after the amazing mains, don’t fear - Peckham Arches has an extensive selection of beers, both bottled and draught, along with wine. Cocktails dazzle, too, adding a fun twist to classics, such as the Skylarking Margarita, the lychee martini, and the passionfruit mezcalita. Along with the atmosphere and entertainment, the drinks are a great complement to the carefully-curated menu.
