This November,
Mark Hix will launch a second version of Tramshed in the City’s Devonshire Square.
Like the original on the edge of the City (pictured), the sibling branch of Tramshed will offer just whole-roasted chicken and a selection of top-quality steaks. Hix will also establish a version
of his louche Soho watering hole Mark’s Bar in the basement of the building – a move which he has
attempted before at hotel restaurant Hix Belgravia (now closed).
‘This is a hugely exciting acquisition for us,’ said Hix. ‘We’ve been looking to open a site in the heart of the City for some time and this site meets our criteria on many levels.’
The restaurant will replace the second branch of Sushinho, which opened in February but closed its doors this month. Hix hopes to roll out the Tramshed concept to several more London sites.
