If you love food, beer and Borough, you’re in luck this weekend. Running from Friday to Sunday, Borough Market’s Beer Meets Food festival is designed to demonstrate perfect food and beer pairings, and we’ve got tickets to give away: read on for details of our Twitter competition.
The festival will have 16 food stalls, each dedicated to a different match, ranging from Brindisa’s Spanish bites paired with Er Boqueron (made with sea water from the coast of Valencia), to French cheeses from Une Normande a Londres washed down with Belgian Duvel. In between sipping and scoffing, you’ll be able to take part in talks from industry figures, brewing and cocktail-making demos (with samples) and – if you prefer a guide to all that ale – food and beer safaris.
Ticket holders will be treated to half a pint of Budvar Tankové Pivo unpasteurised (from the Czech Republic) and a 40-page booklet. Daytime sessions are from 12N-5pm on Saturday and 12N-6pm on Sunday, while the evening sessions are 6-10pm on Friday and Saturday.
Advance tickets start at £12 for one session or £15 on the day, but we’ve got a pair of free tickets to give away to a session of your choice. To be in with a chance of winning, follow @BoroughMarket and retweet here before midnight on Wednesday 22 July.
If you don’t win, never fear: we are also offering a 40% reader discount: just use the code SQUAREMEAL when booking Beer Meets Food tickets, any time before midnight on Thursday 23 July. Book your session here
