This independent cafe serves modern British inspired meals. Found in central Brighton, opposite St Peter’s Church, the cafe is open daily serving up breakfast, brunch and lunch.
Moksha Caffe first opened its doors in 2007 starting as a simple coffee shop. Owner and founder Oli is a trained chef and started up the cafe with the help of his mum and stepdad, still to this day it has remained a family affair - there is even a photo of Oli’s son sipping a babyccino on the cafe walls. Moksha has since grown and put a heavy focus on fantastic food, offering local and ethically sourced produce. Free range egg, organic milk and free range local meat all feature on the menu. Even the artisan coffee is blended closeby in Littlehampton.
Those looking for breakfast can enjoy the likes of the Moksha breakfast - the cafe’s take on a full English, or the plant-based breakfast for those looking to reduce their meat intake. Fresh juices are also created in-house daily, choose from orange, apple or carrot, ginger & turmeric if you’re looking for a kick. For brunch the cafe’s dirty brunch burgers are a popular option with vegan and vegetarian options available. While a choice of poke bowls, salads, burgers and light bites make Moksha equally as good for lunch.
If you’re looking to hit the hard stuff then there is also a choice of cocktails - and mocktails - available from 10am, along with beers, ciders and vegan wines. Of course the coffee menu is extensive and authentic with an ever changing guest filter coffee available, plus the unmissable homemade chai latte. Homemade lemonade and a range of shakes and smoothies round off the drinks menu nicely.
Whether it’s a quick bite and a coffee or a brunch with friends over cocktails, take a closer look at one of Brighton’s best independent cafes.
