Following its takeover by the American-based Rosewood group, the Chancery Court Hotel has undergone a massive £85m refurb and re-launched as Rosewood London. The interior has been stripped back to the bare bones of the Edwardian original, although many stunning features such as the carriageway entrance and Pavonazzo marble staircase remain. The Mirror Room is a striking, jewel-box salon appropriately decorated with mirrored walls and ceilings. The all-day dining menu offers a selection of appetizing sharing plates, seasonal salads, comfort food favourites and signature patisseries. Dishes are meticulously crafted and backed by a global wine list, centred on organic and biodynamic tipples. The Mirror Room also offers a thoroughly traditional afternoon tea, with a mix of contemporary and classic creations courtesy of pastry chef Mark Perkins.
