You guessed it: this cocktail lounge and nightclub was inspired the late great Mr McQueen – that’s Steve, not Lee. Consequently, the look that is more Hollywood Boulevard glossy than anarchic London style posse, all backed by a show-stealing supporting cast of cocktails named after the silver screen's bluest of blue eyes' movies: Bullitt (a Mezcal, cherry and Japanese whisky Manhattan); Papillon (a pink Martini involving Bombay Sapphire and Tanqueray gin); Nevada Smith (Bulleit bourbon, Bénédictine, herb-infused sugar syrup, fresh sage); Le Mans (a Johnnie Walker whisky and mango sour). Order some mini fish and chips, a steak sandwich or a sharing board, then throw shapes in the vast downstairs space, where DJs such as Todd Terry and Norman Jay ‘MBE’ preside over Ibiza-style shakeouts until 3am. Meanwhile, McQueen’s rooftop bar and sofa-strewn terrace with pop-art murals is summer's new ‘great escape’.
