Dolce divas and Prada peacocks strike the perfect pose at The May Fair Hotel’s bar – especially in its aqua-upholstered 1960s Courrèges-style pod. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Berkeley Street's endlessly entertaining nightly parade of white limos and gold Ferraris, while the glitzy late lounge's electric-blue art-deco bar dispenses sexy, glamorous sips such as the Socialite (a bittersweet, fruity pink vodka Negroni) and My Sour Lady (gin, Chambord and Aperol), as well as a Compass Box whisky and fig sour with major man appeal. Meanwhile, the mainstay of the May Fair’s second bar is the Martini in its various permutations. Fancy bubbles and fine wines are the tipples of choice with snacks of Wagyu beef sliders, tandoori king prawns, chicken lollipops or wild mushroom arancini. Just watch out for rich hunks, flash Harries and predatory blondes on the prowl.
