Luce e Limoni is an authentic Sicilian restaurant, offering a taste of Southern Italy in the heart of London. Situated on the iconic Chancery Lane, the restaurant's concept pays homage to Fabrizio Zafarana, owner and head chef's, native home in Sicily.
Sicily is known and loved for the vibrant mix of cultures which influence its cuisine, from the freshest seafood and classic Italian dishes, to connections with Jewish, Arabian and Greek cuisines, too.
Kick things off with a traditional aperitivo such as Campari or Aperol Spritz, served alongside home made bread with Sicilian extra virgin olive oil. For starters, we like the sound of grilled stuffed squid with ricotta and lemon zest with chorizo, capers and cherry tomato sauce, or perhaps the burrata with Sicilian aubergine caponata and basil dressing.
Homemade pastas are a crowd-pleaser, accentuated with toppings like crab meat, mushrooms and cherry tomato sauce, as well as veal and mozzarella tortellini with butter and sage, cherry tomato confit and truffle oil. If a main course is your preferred central dish, try the pan fried seabass fillet with asparagus, or the prime beef fillet with Marsala reduction and fresh rosemary.
For dessert, it has to be home made tiramisu, a traditional ricotta cheese ‘cannoli’ with pistachio and chocolate bits, or a chocolate grand marnier mousse with orange candied peels. Delicious!
To complement your meal, the team have hand-sourced a curated selection of Italian wines, mainly hailing from their home island of Sicily. Be sure to chat to your server about the best pairing for your meal.
Plus, if you're looking for somewhere to host a special event, Luce e Limoni welcomes private bookings. For smaller groups, the private dining room has a capacity of 11 people, but it's also possible to hire out part of the restaurant, or take over the whole place.
