With views of the London Eye, and a short distance away from the Houses of Parliament, this contemporary and stylish Italian restaurant is sure to fill your carb craving. Locale’s main focus is to deliver fresh and authentic Italian food at an affordable price – and it does just that.
Offering a wide selection of homemade pizzas and pasta, its menu is hard to choose from, but guaranteed to satisfy. Go for the traditional lasagna or pizza Margherita if you don’t like to stray too far away from your favourites. If you, however, feel experimental, the gnocchi gorgonzola with broccoli or Quattro Stagioni will excite your taste buds. For something a little bigger, the speciality beef and venison steaks are available. The steaks are not served more than to a medium-rare specification (as recommended by the kitchen). We recommend it too – this is good-quality meat and you wouldn’t want to ruin it.
Dessert highlights a host of British favourites with an Italian twist. Opt for the Eton mess All’Italiana served with Limoncello cream – yum. Or get a Tiramisu, affogato and a selection of Italian cheeses served with homemade fruit bread (for those of you who can’t resist a savoury dessert – we know you are out there). If you are full from the overload of carbs from your main, a selection of digestive liquors are on offer to finish off your meal.
If you’re not looking to have a full three-courser, the bar hosts a range of exciting cocktails. From classic tipples to more creative in-house creations, that are sure to impress. For those of you looking for non-alcoholic beverages, the mocktail menu is more than capable of quenching your thirst. With happy hour from Monday to Friday between 5-7pm, and with a selection of bar snacks, this is a fab place to settle down and relax after a busy day.
