The fluoro backlit bar, curvaceous orange banquettes & on-trend brickwork mark Lime out as an Indian restaurant for the 21st century, although the menu’s not quite so coolly contemporary. All those traditional standbys we know & love (dupiaza, dhansak, vindaloo) are a big part of it, but a few dishes such as char-grilled spicy duck, sea bass & some Bangladeshi choices including shatkora (lime) bhuna provide an extra dimension of culinary interest. Fresh flavours & smart presentation are Lime’s hallmarks, & veggies are particularly well served with meat-free options offered as mains & sides. Spirits, wines & Champagnes loom particularly large here – still, a bottle of Dom Pérignon with a chicken tikka masala doesn’t seem like a bad way to spend a bit of bonus.
