The Battersea Power Station branch of Leon is every bit as reliable and delicious as its various counterparts across the UK.
If you didn’t know, Leon’s mission is to provide fast food which is also good for you, underpinned by the idea that the two don’t have to be mutually exclusive. Its aims can be summed up as serving food ‘that tastes wonderful, is surprisingly good for you, is affordable and kind to the planet. And that leaves you feeling good after you’ve eaten it’. We can’t say no to that…
The menu at Leon is inspired by Mediterranean flavours and recipes, with plenty of plants, well-sourced meats, herbs, nuts, and seeds. Where possible, ingredients are seasonal, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, and full of nutrients and fibre.
In case you’re not familiar with Leon, let us introduce you to some of its food highlights (just don’t blame us if you find yourself craving your Leon fix for the rest of the day). There are lots of delicious wraps on offer - grilled halloumi, jerk ‘n’ jam chicken, sweet potato fritter and lime aioli – as well as some nutritious and tasty rice boxes, including black cardamom chicken korma, Moroccan ‘meat’ balls, and Brazilian black bean, amongst others.
Salads are fun, fresh, and tasty with variations like jerk chicken salad and an autumn mezze box that will have you banishing the thought of boring lettuce leaves. Sides are equally delicious. There’s chargrilled chicken mezze, aioli mac and cheeze bites (these are vegan!), flatbread and hummus, crunchy slaw, and some gorgeous cheezy loaded waffle fries.
Leon is a relaxed dining space – a refined fast-food spot, if you will. It’s the ideal location to pop by after a morning browsing Battersea Power Station’s many shops, get your food fix, then head off for round two. There’s something for everyone on the menu, whether you’re after carb heaven, or you fancy something a little more typically ‘healthy’, and everything is beautifully seasoned and sauced.
