Honeycomb & Co is an all day eatery located on Edinburgh's Merchiston Place. In the thick of the city, with much going on nearby, Honeycomb & Co provides a much needed comfort space with a delicious offering of breakfast, brunch, lunch, and freshly made cakes and sweet treats.
Kick off the weekend in style with a brunch cocktail, such as the Cherry and Hot Honey Margarita with Tajín made with Omeca Altos tequila, Cointreau, dark cherry puree, lime and spiced Tajín. The brunch menu is served from noon and includes oven baked beetroot pancakes with Scottish smoked salmon, two free range poached eggs, horseradish and dill labneh, pickled cucumber and golden beets. Another Scottish take on a breakfast classic is the red lentil and tattie scone, sandwiched with smashed avocados, lime and jalapeno gel. At breakfast time, begin your day the right way with green tea infused porridge oats with puffed millet, golden raisins, chia seeds, banana chips and pistachios, served with Greek yoghurt, plum compote and a pistachio tuile. Does that not sound delicious? An oldie but a goldie, the toasted ciabatta breakfast roll is a true favourite, and you can choose a single, double or triple filling. Choose from a selection of veggie haggis, pork sausage, mushrooms, house kimchi and Ramsay of Carluke smoked bacon.
You won't know where to look with all of the incredible cakes and bakes on offer, including a plum and almond meringue cake with a coconut and lemon sponge and roasted fresh plums, and Belgian chocolate brownie with Maldon sea salt. For a less common yet equally delicious flavour pairing, choose the blackberry and orange crumble cake, or lemon, elderflower and cherry cake with cherry infused cream and plenty of fresh fruit. A sticky, sweet favourite is the honeycomb Mars bar slice with Rice Krispies and plenty of Belgian chocolate.
