“Laid-back but fancy” is how one reader describes this Gordon Ramsay restaurant, where the sleek, slick look is as well suited to business lunches as treating the kids at the weekend. Everyone is welcome for food that’s “always of the highest standard” without demanding too much from the assembled company. Breakfast (home-baked raspberry and almond bread with vanilla butter, perhaps) kicks things off, and the globally influenced all-day carte knows how to please. Beef Wellington with truffle mash and red wine jus is “unbelievably good” according to one fan, although you can also get short rib or crispy chilli chicken burgers, fish pie and an accessible set option. An ice-cream bar menu, with build-your-own cones, sandwiches and wafer baskets, adds to the fun, as do staff who are “above friendly, and always very attentive”. A Coravin system keeps by-the-glass wines in good nick, while bottles are listed by style, grape and region.
Gordon Ramsay’s Heddon Street Kitchen is found just off of Regent’s Street in the heart of London’s West End. This stylish dining destination is housed over two floors and is open for all day dining - and you would feel just as at home grabbing a post-shopping bite to eat at lunch as you would having a dinner or after-work cocktails.
Early risers will enjoy the breakfast menu offering classics such as Eggs Benedict, a Full English and smashed avocado on toasted sourdough. Those looking for brunch with bubbles will enjoy the Prosecco brunch menu. A dedicated children’s menu shows off the restaurant’s family-friendly credentials, while dietary requirements are also considered with seperate vegetarian and gluten-free menus that don’t simply feel like an afterthought.
The restaurant is open for all day dining seven days a week and has a casual dress code.

Overall very basic. I really was expecting more. The breakfast was standard - the beans were literally from a tin; the hash browns were from McCains. Its a lovely location and the decor is quite warm and friendly. The staff were okay too. Good but not stand out. I wouldnt rush back.

This restaruant has been the worst experience that I have ever had in the 15 years that I have lived in London. Not only was I racially profiled and made to feel uncomfortable, but I was treated like I could not afford this place due to having two kids with me (one which is my child and one which is my daughter's friend), both which do not look racially like me. The rudest thing that happened to me was that the main waitress spoke to me as if I could not speak English and then assumed I was Italian. She also assumed that I could not afford to pay for the two children that I had with me when I asked for the lunch set menu. She kept saying: "Kids no free with lunch set menu." Like seriously, she spoke to me as if I can't speak english or have a learning disability! Your waitress was so ignorant and patronising by judging me before understanding that I am an educated, Mexican-American parent who actually can more than afford to live in London. Yes, I can afford this restaurant and English is my native language along with Spanish. This all went down hill as our meal continued when she also brough out still water, when I had specifically stated we just wanted tap water. Soon after, we had another 2 other members of staff deliver the food and then I had that same woman who profiled me come and ask how our meal was just after I had paid the bill (which I had to request from another member of staff). Like seriously, your team needs to be replaced or upskilled! I cannot believe I have to write this in 2024, but the reality of the matter is that there are thousands of amazing places to eat in London that have better service, better food and who treat peopel with respect regardless of their ethnic background.

Staffs at the reception were very welcoming. Everything else were very below average. Food was very bland and Sunday beef roast was too tough. We were so disappointed and asked the staff to remove service charge for the first time. Also the waitress almost hit one of the guests face with the plate and did not apologise.

The food was lovely, but unfortunately the service wasn't great. Our drinks sat on the bar before being sent out for a while, we had to ask for more drinks instead of being asked, we had to ask for cutlery after food had arrived, ask for sauces which eventually arrived after the food had been eaten so for the price you were paying and for the experience this really did let our visit down I am sad to say.

Where do i start.... For a restaurant that uses Gordon's name, standards should be way higher! Went there for my birthday and wow what a disappointment! Our friends had steak for 3 people. It arrived stone cold. Plate was cold also. My husband asked waitress is it suppose to be cold. She said no,brought it back to the kitchen. Came back with a bowl of mash and chips( compliments from a cheff). Important to say, this piece of cold steak on a stone cold serving plate was £190!!!! A disgrace.Kids had mash with sausage and pasta with meatballs. Meals were cold (plates cold aswell). At the end, waitress brought an ice cream for kids and literally dropped one bowl of ice cream on the table, because none of us told her who ordered chocolate ice cream( flavour ordered was vanilla!).Order was mixed up. But no dramas, child ate chocolate instead of vanilla ice cream. But waitress's attitude was way too much on the top of all the experience we had in this restaurant.Do not remember if i have ever left a restaurant feeling so unhappy and so dissappointed. Was suppose to be a nice dinner for my 40th. But what a joke it was. :) Avoid at all costs (unless you want to pay ridiculous money for cold meals). ??
