With a name like Heavenly Desserts, there’s no mystery about what these guys do best. The idea for this fine dining dessert restaurant was first conceived in 2008, with the operation managed by Mohammad Imran and Yousif Aslam who launched the brand into the nation’s eyeline. Now, you can find a Heavenly Desserts branch in almost every major city in the UK, and it doesn’t look like there’s any sign of them slowing down.
Located in the centre of Cambridge on Christ’s Lane, this sleek branch is all straight lines and spotlights. Shiny marble floors and a long charcoal grey counter feel suitably luxe, while vibrant floral wallpaper, bright blue booths and velvet seating inject pops of colour into the space.
Pristine interiors aside, the food menu is practically the opposite playing host to a series of outrageously OTT creations, spanning waffles, cheesecake, ice cream, brownies, cookie dough, crepes and croffles (a cross between a croissant and a waffle). The choice is truly staggering, boasting everything from one-of-a-kind signatures to classic treats. Look out for things like cookies and cream cheesecake, lotus biscoff sundae, white chocolate chip cookie dough and one particular waffle called ‘I’ll Have What She’s Having’.
The choice doesn’t stop there, with guests able to create their own desserts – although build at your sugar-induced peril. Start with a base of waffles, pancakes, cake, cheesecake or cookie dough, for example, before piling on all of the sauces and toppings.
If you’re feeling thirsty after all that sugar, discover an extensive drinks selection including milkshakes, smoothies, cocktails, mocktails, lemonade and hot drinks. All are presented as extravagantly as the desserts, from a bananalicious milkshake to an iced rose and lychee latte.
Gluten-free and vegan menus are also available for those with dietary requirements and intolerances.
