Few things go together as well as a coffee and a donut, and Glazed are no stranger to either. Vegan donuts are made fresh every morning in the cafe, with a range of flavours available. Based a stone's throw from Brighton station, opposite The Level, this has become one of the city’s favourites. The regular flavours include Biscoff, Notella and strawberry coconut, then a range of different flavours are brought in regularly such as peanut butter and caramelised fake bacon (better than it sounds), birthday cake icing, donut burgers and blueberry and chocolate. The donuts come with a range of toppings like broken up pretzels, crushed Biscoff, and orange segments.
Glazed believes that baked donuts are fake donuts, so each donut is fried fresh every morning in the cafe, meaning if you make it in early enough you’ll be able to nab a hot donut fresh from the fryer.
The interior is quaint and laid back, with wooden flooring, pastel pink walls, and donuts adorning the top of the bar. This is a spot that cares about the community, which is evident through the local artist’s work displayed throughout the cafe to support local talent. Also with a focus on sustainability, all of the food packaging is eco-friendly for takeaway orders, compostable cups are used when you want a drink to-go, and there is a variety of plant-based milks available to have with your coffee.
