Franco Manca in King’s Cross is superbly situated for sitting down for a quick bite, before a train from St. Pancras, or for refuelling after a gander along the beautiful Regents Canal. For Harry Potter fans, Platform 9 ¾ is just around the corner from the restaurant, where you can pose with a trolley full of trunks and Hedwig, before you grab a slice. There are plenty of shops in the area and the modern Granary Square is just up the road where you can check out cool events and stunning installations. For a bit more culture, there’s the London Canal Museum.
The restaurant is surrounded by grand hotels, bars, and green spaces. Transport links are easy to find for buses, trains, and tubes connecting you to the rest of London and further. Whether you’re landing in King’s Cross from abroad, heading off somewhere, or just keeping it local, Franco Manca’s has got you sorted with fresh sourdough pizza.
The exterior of the restaurant is unmistakeable and impressive against the brick walls, with its signature cherry red awning. The charming outside seating area is great for a nice view, and to get some sun and fresh air. The interior is bright and cosy with large floor to ceiling windows bringing in plenty of light. The décor is sleek and welcoming with wooden and marble accents throughout. It’s hard not to notice a key feature of the restaurant, the custom-made imported Naples ovens which are skilfully manned by the master pizzaiolos.
There is disabled access and baby changing facilities are available. You can make bookings for tables or it is first come, first served. The staff are friendly and accommodating to all needs and preferences, whether you are gluten-intolerant or vegetarian. There is even a special menu for kids so they don’t miss out either.
