Revamped, refurbished and re-imagined, this local Indian has its sights set on the future. Using the best local ingredients they can lay their hands on and combining them with their own spices, the result is a curry house that’s a significant cut above the rest. All the favourites are on the menu, for example chicken madras and prawn bhuna, while the kitchen really comes into its own if given a chance to spread its wings. The king prawn bochundara, with a touch of lime and honey, is a real treat while the naga bhut jolokia (a blindingly hot but fragrant Bangladeshi dish) takes no prisoners. We certainly don’t advise the Bollinger on the list to pair with that one: a Cobra beer is a much better bet.
