Didn't meet expectations
If you search out Fabrizio's on Trip Adviser, you'll see an overall score of 4.7/5 and a slew of 5* ratings . That was enough to get us there, though to be fair we needed to be close anyway last Saturday lunch. A word about the service first; the young man who served us was very pleasant and pretty efficient. The service was the stand-out aspect of our meal there.
One of the first things people will notice about this restaurant is their low prices. I know this will make it popular with some people. For me, I'd rather pay a bit more and get a bit better. My artichoke starter had a few ( well 4 actually) small pieces of artichoke and a mass of green salad. My main course was linguini with squid. But the squid was chopped into really tiny pieces that added nothing to the taste of the dish which was very bland. My wife's bruschetta looked right, but the tomatoes had little flavour and neither did the veal of her main course. Clearly they are working hard to keep the prices down but the quality of their food is suffering in our view. It simply isn't what we want from a restaurant, and we left disappointed and without feeling we'd like to return. We'd rather go to restaurants that spend a bit more to get better quality ingredients and put enough of them into the dishes to make eating there fun and exciting. Sorry.
