Drink Eat - The Italian Break is a cafe in Hammersmith, West London, on King Street, the main dining and shopping destination in the area. It’s a short walk from both Hammersmith (District and Piccadilly lines) and Ravenscourt Park (District Line) tube stations.
The food menu covers a wide range of sweet and savoury Italian classics. Hot snacks include beef lasagna (also available vegetarian and with a pistachio filling) and aubergine or courgette parmigiana. There’s also ten kinds of arancini on offer. Filling options encompass everything from ragu to tuna, peas and mint. A selection of focaccia sandwiches round out the hot snacks, such as salami and mozzarella.
The sweet snacks are even more numerous. There’s an extensive list of Italian candies, including almond dragees (lemon or orange flavour), candied lemon with white or dark chocolate, sweet taralli and tozzetti. Tea cookies start at 80p each. You can choose from the likes of soft amaretto, lemon delight, almond bite and white berry twist. Tiramisu and Neapolitan sfogliata round out the Italian sweet offerings.
Drinks cover familiar ground. The coffee line up includes espresso, macchiato, latte and cappuccino. Drink Eat also serves a range of teas, such as Earl Grey, English breakfast and camomile. In addition, you’ll also find a range of soft drinks.
