Set in the heart of Chelsea, Dez Amore is a charming Italian restaurant bringing a flavour of Florence to London with brilliant fresh pasta, pizzas and Tuscan-influenced burgers. It’s a cosy little spot, with generous portions and a knack for traditional Italian cuisine pepped up with contemporary twists. Dez Amore Chelsea is the first brick-and-mortar restaurant from the food stall chain of the same name, founded by best friends and business partners Leonardo Masi and Simone Parentini.
It’s a warm and inviting spot, almost sentimental, with the whole restaurant inspired by the idea of an Italian grandma’s home. Stepping into ‘Nonna’s house’, you’ll spot recognisable nostalgic features, from the black and white photos spotted across the walls to the yellow-green tiles in the open kitchen. It’s a convivial space, with bar stools, soft lighting and a red gingham Instagram corner. Whether meeting for an impromptu lunch or gathering a group of friends together for a casual weekend dinner, Dez Amore is a pleasing spot - with prices to match.
Pasta is made by hand every day, with only the best ingredients available and always with classic Italian sauces that have been passed down for countless generations. Each pasta dish on the Dez Amore Chelsea menu comes with the option to add extras, so you can get your hands on the fan favourite tagliatelle cacio e pepe and add bacon or mushrooms if you so desire.
It’s a similar situation with the burgers, which although not strictly Italian, have been infused with authentic Tuscan flavours. Popular options include the Tuscan DOC with pecorino, caramelised Chianti onions and crispy bacon; a Truffle burger with cheese and lettuce; and the Tasty & Juicy with goat’s cheese, beer braised onions and bacon.
