Well away from the East End heartlands of Vietnamese cuisine in the capital, Da Nang Kitchen is a boon for the spice-loving inhabitants of W6. The kitchen’s intention is to fuse native flavours
with some of the exotic traditions of old Siam, and the result is a 100-strong menu that covers a lot of territory. Appetisers include the likes of nem nuóng (char-grilled ground pork with herbs
and rice paper), and the repertoire also takes in soups, invigorating salads (papaya and jerk beef, say), savoury pancakes, curries, noodles and dishes such as whole crispy tilapia with ginger
