Since 2012, Cristina’s Steak has been serving Barking locals lovingly-prepared prime cuts in a relaxed, friendly environment. Cristina’s has the perfect location, just a few minute's walk from Barking tube station and plenty of transport links for those travelling from a little further afield.
Judging from Cristina’s impressive social media presence which sees the restaurant bring over 10,000 followers along on its journey, the team aren't fibbing when they claim to be a local favourite and one of the most well-loved steak restaurants in the East End. In fact, a quick scroll through their videos which show off the likes of succulent beef brisket, buttery bone marrow with chimichurri and thick dino ribs, will have you salivating.
The menu is extremely varied with a huge offering of dishes from burgers and mains, to steaks and meat feasts. First though, why not begin with a house cocktail and some starter plates? We love the sound of the Jammie Annie with gin, strawberry jam and lime juice, followed by snacks like the cheeseburger spring roll, beef bao buns and crunchy potato shavings.
Of course, the steak menu deserves your attention and offers cuts like rump, sirloin, rib-eye, fillet and T-bone, served with sides like creamed spinach, mac and cheese and black cajun fries. You could make things really interesting and add a helping of melted raclette cheese to your steak, for an indulgent twist. Onto the meat feasts and if you're feeling hungry, we love the sound of the banquet brisket which brings together 12 hours oak smoked brisket with chocolate bbq sauce.
If steak isn't what you're after, though, there are some other options. Enjoy mains like classic fish and chips, spaghetti bolognese and bone marrow beef pie, for something a bit different. Finally, those with a sweet tooth will no doubt enjoy desserts like sticky toffee pudding and the ultimate brownie, served with vanilla ice cream.
