Clean Kitchen Club's location at the Battersea Power Station promises to continue their practice of clean, sustainable, and 100% plant-based cuisine.
The restaurant first found success in Brighton after selling their burgers out of a small kitchen, and quickly followed their success with the opening of other shops in Chelsea, Boxpark, and Camden. Throughout this process, their menu reflects the values of their company-- doing their best to make healthy and sustainable food good.
Their menu is geared more towards the lunch crowd, and features a selection of all-vegan options ranging from burgers to acai bowls. For each burger you try-- for example, the Truffle Mayo burger with crispy chick'n, truffle oil infused vegan mayo, and rocket, served in a pink beetroot bun-- you also have the option to upgrade it to a meal, adding on their plant-based Chick'n Nuggets and fries. Or if you want something lighter, they also have acai bowls and smoothies, or options like wraps, rice bowls, or bagels.
Clean Kitchen Club hopes to bring sustainablity back into their kitchen as well. They claim that all of their produce is sourced from suppliers in the UK (and when necessary, broader Europe), and that their packaging is all fully compostable, recyclable, and biodegradable. You'll also see a clear limitation of food waste here-- their menu is designed to repurpose ingredients to increase their lifespan, while making food to-order and selling their leftover pastries for a discounted price.
Overall, the ethos behind Clean Kitchen Club is providing a culinary experience you can feel good about, either in front of or in back of the kitchen. Founder Mikey Pearce thinks clean and responsible eating is essential to a good life, and hopefully their ethical kitchen practices can contribute to a good life for Mother Earth, too.
