Named after its circular bar, Circo has quickly established itself as one of Bath’s coolest new openings. An elegant space kitted out with sumptuous chesterfields, Julian Chichester mirrors and Tom Dixon lighting, its classy panelled walls hint at a bygone era – although it feels thoroughly contemporary. Open for post-work drinks through to the early hours (when DJs often appear), this venue boasts one of the most prodigious drinks selections in the city, with a huge range of spirits, wines and beers alongside an alluring cocktail list: the Heididendrum (Frangelico, Baileys, crème de cacao white and cream) comes highly recommended. An appealing menu of pizzas, tapas and sharing platters is on hand for those who fancy lingering throughout the evening. There’s also an impressive new four-room vaulted cellar to accommodate the crowds.
