Caviar Kaspia London began its story in 1927 and has been impressing the residents of Mayfair for many years. This beautifully decorated, grand restaurant is somewhere you can enjoy threads of fashion, friendship and culture, and exceptional dining is always on the menu – with a heavy focus on seafood and grills (but you may have guessed that from the name). It's not just food on offer here, as the Caviar Kaspia cocktail bar and boutique is filled with a wide range of fine wines, spirits and has an impressive cocktail list. The restaurant is suitable for important occasions and memorable experiences, whether you want to impress a loved one or host a working lunch.
Starters include the yellowtail hamachi with soy and ginger dressing, radish, avocado and caviar, the quinoa salad with salsa verde, lovage and pomegranate and vitello tonnato with celery, caperberries, and espelette chilli pepper. For something totally luxurious, try the Kaspia croque monsieur made with imperial baeri caviar, smoked salmon and comte, or the poached lobster with macedoine, Marie Rose sauce and baby gem lettuce.
The showstopper main is the Galician blond rib of beef to share, with bearnaise, chips and baby leaves. The roasted whole lobster is another popular choice, as is the sea trout with cherry and razor clams and garden vegetables. The wild mushroom risotto is rich, made with acquerello rice, trompettes, girolles and porcini mushrooms, but the most indulgent has to be the caviar tagliolini with a Champagne cream sauce. For dessert, we’d definitely choose Kaspia’s delight, made with cocoa sponge, ricotta mousse, and coffee caviar. There’s also a sweet and zingy lemon soufflé, but be prepared to wait a little while, as it’s cooked a la minute.
