A new Italian café is hardly news, but this one promises to be a cut above the rest. Good coffee is guaranteed, but there’s proper focus here on the kitchen, with the premium ingredients flown in from Italy every day. Diners can expect burrata fresh from Puglia and mozzarella from Napoli as well as classic pastas made from old family recipes, antipasti, and good versions of paninis and salads. Tables are likely to be hard to commandeer at lunchtime, so if you want to sit, turn up early or late, or just leave it till after work for an early evening graze. Happily, the kitchen’s all set up for take-aways as well.
