Following on from its original hatch in Camden, Butchies now has its first bricks-and-mortar site. Split across two floors, the space features neon signs and a red and green colour scheme, accommodating just shy of 50 diners, while also offering takeaway. The all-day menu features a range of wings, sandwiches and salads. From a selection of six free-range fried chicken sandwiches, diners can pick from the Original, featuring pickles and homemade garlic and fresh herb mayo, or the Jenny from the Block with guacamole, chipotle mayo and smoked streaky bacon. Sides meanwhile see the likes of twice-cooked cheesy fries, and wings get a kimchi honey-butter treatment. To drink, there are 20 varieties of cocktails, wines and craft beers from a vending machine. Like most casual London restaurants, Butchies only takes bookings if you’re in a party of six or above.
