Boudica is an eclectic restaurant in the heart of Battersea, paces away from the iconic Power Station, serving elevated comfort food with a modern global twist. Executive chef Luigi Vairo draws on influences from across the globe to create his unique dishes, from France to Asia, Africa to the Middle East, and of course his native Italy. He has spent the last decade working in world-class kitchens across the world, curating his own gastronomic style, and boasts a star-studded CV which includes working alongside the likes of Michele Nargi, Frederik Forster and Richard Corrigan.
Upon entering Boudica you are greeted by the exquisite dining room, complete with floor-to-ceiling windows which create a breezy laidback area flooded with natural light. The dining room is joined by a striking cocktail bar, which churns out exciting combinations, tried-and-tested classics, as well as a ‘secret’ whisky menu. In the summer months, the stunning wine terrace is open for alfresco drinking and dining.
The menu is centred around the best British produce, while Luigi draws on global flavours and techniques to create his simple but comforting dishes. Examples of starters include Orkney scallops served with white asparagus and Vin Jaune, and Angus beef tartare with a zingy mustard dressing. For the main event, indulge in the likes of Cornish lobster linguine served with Sicilian cherry tomatoes and a rich bisque, or an impressive Cote de Boeuf which is designed to be shared between two people. To finish, don't miss the Boudica tiramisu which is adorned with a Kahlua gel.
Boudica really comes into its own on the weekend, when it serves an all-day brunch menu alongside in-house DJ’s and live music. So, whether you're celebrating a special occasion or looking to chill out with friends, this beautiful spot offers something for everyone.
