If you want to delight your guests with great food, good vibes and beautiful surroundings, book The Landsdowne. This Glasgow restaurant was relaunched by Mother India in 2019, and has become a popular group dining restaurant in the city. With cosy booths and long stretched tables, The Landsdowne is elegantly and colourfully decorated, with gorgeous touches that will make your private dining booking all that more luxurious. For a truly spectacular time, choose the conservatory at the back of the restaurant, known as The Glasshouse, for a chance to look up at the stars. The venue has capacity for up to 60 of your guests, so you can host events both intimate and more grand at The Landsdowne.
Whilst you can always make adjustments to the private dining menu to suit your requirements, the a la carte menu is certainly impressive. You can order a selection of famed Delhi and Mumbai street food dishes for your party, which are designed to share. Choose between vegetable pakora and salt and pepper chicken, along with punjabi vegetable samosa, kerala chilli king prawn and keema pav. If your diners would prefer individual plates, choose from a range of tandoori and grill options. There are grilled lamb chops with roasted cumin potatoes, and malai chicken tikka. The menu also features old Glasgow favourites, including dak bungalow butter chicken, roadside lamb curry and south Indian ginger lamb – order these if your guests want comfort food.
The great Indian thali platter comes with shish kebab, butter chicken, dal makhani, naan and chapati, rice, side salad, masala, poppadoms, pickles and raita, making them a perfect addition to a feast. Why not order a few and scatter them throughout the tables for your guests to enjoy alongside their aromatic biryani or Goan fish curry.
