Since Hawksmoor launched in 2006, it has become the place to be for luxury steak in London and beyond; ndeed, so inexorable has Hawksmoor's rise been, it now has a thriving restaurant in the heart of New York - arguably the steak capital of the world.
Meanwhile, Londoners are spoilt for choice with eight Hawksmoors across London. Hawksmoor Guildhall is right in the heart of the City of London, providing a refuge for working City types in search of long, boozy lunches and after-work business dinners. For those looking for a more private dining experience, Hawksmoor Guildhall has a private dining room available, with room for up to 22 guests to dine in an elegant wood-panelled room. The Sublime Society Room is so named in dedication to the Sublime Society of Beefsteaks - an 18th century secret society in London that met weekly to enjoy steak and booze.
Anyone who has visited Hawksmoor will know that that is a mirror of the spirit that has made Hawksmoor so popular. Guests at the Sublime Society Room receive a cocktail reception on arrival, before tucking into a choice of three separate feasting menus, which come with a different choice of starters, steaks and desserts. Starters include mackerel salad, Old Spot belly ribs, beef fillet carpaccio, and roasted scallops, depending on which menu tier you plump for, and steaks all come sizzling in cast iron with a selection of sides. Vegetarian options are available, and you can choose between two or three courses.
The Secret Society Room is also equipped with discrete audio-visual equipment, as well as a 40” flat screen, making the room suitable for meetings and presentations.
