Description
Putney Pantry is a casual cafe found on the grounds of the historic St Mary’s Church in Putney. As well as being open to the general public every day of the week for breakfast and lunch, Putney Pantry also offers an in-house catering service, with the cafe’s team of chefs able to accommodate a whole range of occasions, including birthday parties, weddings, business meetings and conferences.
Heading up the kitchen at Putney Pantry is chef patron Issa Cissokho, who has more than 20 years worth of culinary experience and has worked at some of the most prestigious restaurants in the capital. While the food at the cafe itself may be more about relaxed, home-style cooking, it is in the catering arm of the Putney Pantry operation that Cissokho’s passion and creativity is really allowed to shine.
Over the years, the team have designed menus for everything from intimate parties to wedding receptions, offering up a diverse range of styles to customers, including casual canape receptions and finger food buffets, through to formal sit-down feasts. Examples of previous work by the team include a Champagne and canape reception followed by a Moroccan-style buffet for a birthday party, and an informal selection of bowl food for a conference. Cissokho is also adept at drawing inspiration from across the world for his catering menus, which means almost all client requests can be accommodated for.
Putney Pantry is able to offer its catering services in-house, via the use of the various event spaces that St Mary’s Church offers to the public for private hire, including a balcony space suited to informal pop ups and a hall that’s ideal for larger gatherings. However, if you already have your eyes set on an external venue, Putney Pantry’s team of caterers are also able to bring their food directly to you.
