Looking for somewhere to throw a party in the Hartfordshire countryside? Say hello to Ware Priory, a charming, historic venue that looks like something out of a fairytale, while simutaniously boasting a contemporary wing, all the mod cons and an experienced events team.
First, let's start at the beginning: the main building at Ware Priory is the original Friary which amazingly has roots going back all the way to the 1300s. Over the years its changed guise and received a huge restoration in the 1990s but today it's Grade I Listed and still retains so many of its original features and offers a striking picture of Medieval England that history buffs will love.
There are two main spaces to host your event. If you love the quaint feel and historic details, take a look at The Hadsley Room which is part of the Lady Suite, and is situated on the first floor of the Priory in what was originally believed to be the Abbots Lodgings. The vaulted ceiling is a show-stopper and the large refectory table dates back to the 14th Century and is believed to be from the original Friary, which is a real talking point.
If you prefer a modern look and feel, we think you'll love The Conservatory. This huge space has sweeping, arched ceilings, lots of natural light and is hued bright white. There's capacity here for up to 120 guests and is ideal for a seated dinner with drinks and dancing afterwards, while a cocktails and canapes reception would work equally well.
When it comes to catering, the team here have identified a selection of high-qulity catering partners who work with fresh, seasonal ingredients and across a mix of cuisines to make sure your personal tastes are catered for. Chat through the options with the team and we're sure you'll find something that works for you.
