Aparthotels are becoming more and more popular with frequest travellers to the big cities and when it comes to London, The Gate is a favourite for premium accomodation, as well as tonnes of other features such as a socialable lounge and terrace.
Situated in The City, The Gate has a fabulous location inbetween Aldgate and Whitechapel, with a mix of spaces (including a penthouse, don't you know) and a design-led feel, boasting mid-century inspired furniture, plush velvet sofas and a palette of calming tones.
While staying here is a perfect overnight option for those basing themselves in east London, if you're simply looking to throw an event - be it a birthday party or engagement drinks or something more coporate related like networking or a brand launch - The Gate has plenty of options for that, too.
There are four spaces to choose from, each one offering a different style and capacity to suit your event. The largest space is the Fifth Floor Lounge which has a capacity of 100 people standing or 60 people seated and comes with a private bar, a TV for presentations or awards and your own team of in-house serving staff to make sure everything goes smoothly. Plus, the panoramic views are pretty special and bring with them a whole lot of light, and there's access to the outdoor terrace which is a must in the summer. If in accordance with availability, you'll also get use of a bedroom and 20% off other accomodation options.
If you're planning something a little more low-key, there's the East Side Meeting Room which has capacity for 45 people standing and 25 seated, within a semi-private space. There's a large central table and the team say it's great for small film premieres, seminars or drink receptions. While, the West Side offers a similar vibe for 40 people standing or 30 people seated and a feature bar, it's ideal for informal socialising.
