As the summer is drawing to an end and the summer party is long forgotten, you might need something to up the morale in the office. How about treating your team to a night of comedy at
Sandown Park Racecourse?
Part of the Jockey Club,
Sandown has launched its monthly 1750 Comedy Club (the course was founded in 1750). The comedy shows will feature both young, up-and-coming talent as well as big names.
The opening night (15 September) will showcase comedians Angela Barnes (BBC New Comedy Awards winner), Pete Firman (also known as a TV magician) and Ian Stone (you’ve definitively seen him on Mock the Week), who all performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer. Erich McElroy (a yank) will be joining them, too.
Taking place at
Sandown’s Esher Hall, tickets are £17.50pp – get them
here. Your colleagues will undoubtedly be grateful if you put a tab behind the bar for drinks and snacks throughout the evening. If you want to make it a regular thing, shows are scheduled all the way until March next year.
