Step aboard The Murdér Express for an immersive experience you won’t forget

The Murdér Express is returning to London with a brand new storyline for guests to get on board with.

Following two previously successful stints (each with their own blood-thirsty storyline), Britain’s most crime-ridden train is back for another treacherous journey. The Murdér Express: Jewel of the Empire will see passengers step on board a luxury train carriage in 1930s London, for a night of mystery, deception and murder.

While trying to solve a mystery that would have Hercule Poirot twiddling his moustache, guests will also get the chance to indulge in a sumptuous four-course meal curated by MasterChef: The Professionals 2018 champion Laurence Henry.

Guests will enjoy a night of deception on board this vintage-style train carriage

The well-established chef has previously worked under the tutelage of big names, including Gordon Ramsay and Jason Atherton. He will serve up a menu of simple dishes, which are packed with complex flavours and are informed by his love of Asian cuisine.

The experience comes courtesy of immersive dining experts Funicular and will run for several months. To really help you get into character, read the synopsis below:

“The year is 1937 and Europe is in upheaval. Conflict continues to rage in Spain and another World War looms, but the beating of the war drums is not to be heard on the glamorous Murdér Express, where the wealthiest socialites and most successful celebrities converge for luxury travel and indulgent dining between London and the Southern French town of Murdér. When the largest cut diamond in the world is stolen and murder strikes, everyone becomes a suspect. Guests must pull up their velvet sleeves, find the culprit and recover the Jewel of the Empire before the train reaches its destination and they escape forever.”

Actors will keep guests entertained

Funicular's ‘The Murdér Express: Jewel of the Empire' opens on Thursday 2 May, and will run until 31 August 2019. Tickets start from £57 per person, to find out more visit funicularproductions.com
