The St Thomas Centre is housed in a beautiful, Grade II listed Georgian church that has been renovated for modern events. This church is the third oldest in Manchester, and whilst it retains much of its original charm, has everything you'll find everything you need within its walls. St Thomas Conference Centre is a social enterprise, with all profits turned towards initiatives for social and economic inclusion in Manchester through their parent charity GMCVO.
There are a range of rooms that you can book at the St Thomas Conference Centre, and they are especially great for interviews, meetings and conferences. The largest event space is Ardwick Green Hall, which is named after the park opposite the centre. This beautiful space has modern furnishings and great AV facilities but has kept its ornate ceiling and walls to lend a sense of grandeur to your occasion. Here, 40 guests can be accommodated in a boardroom style, and 64 in cabaret round tables. The room can also be set up in exam and horseshoe style and has space for 140 in a theatre layout.
A smaller space, the Gaskell Room has access into the grand Ardwick Green Hall, and is perfect for more intimate events or as a breakout room if you're hosting a day-long event. At its maximum capacity, the Gaskell Room, named after the Victorian novelist Elizabeth Gaskell, can accommodate up to 30 guests. The venue has a range of pricing systems, which are for morning or afternoon sessions. If you are looking to hire a space in the evening or on the weekend, you need to get in touch with the team directly for up to date pricing. There are discounts for members on bookings, and it's worth noting that the St Thomas Centre doesn’t open on Sundays.
