Not heard of the International Arbitration Centre? Well, we're not surprised, established in 2019, the venue primarily deals with hybrid litigation in domestic and international courts - in other words, it's pretty niche. But, when it comes to the building itself, you've probably walked past it without even realising.
Situated on Fleet Street, just off the Strand and seconds from some of London's most influential buildings, the International Arbitration Centre is an incredible venue that's been hiding right underneath yours - and everyone else's - noses all this time. And the good news is, it's available for hire for birthday parties, work events, weddings; you name it.
While most of the building is used exclusively for legal purposes, the top floor is where the magic happens. Here, you'll find a large, open plan space with capacity for 120 people standing or 70 seated, boasting huge, floor-to-ceiling windows on either side offering an almost panoramic view of central London's skyline.
The space has a tasteful, contemporary aesthetic and is neutrally-decorated with a classic wooden floor, high ceilings and stylish lounge seating dotted around in soft shades. Of course, thanks to the large windows, the space is flooded with sunshine in the day and come night, the twinkling London lights offer an atmospheric backdrop. In terms of accessorises and finishing touches, there are plants and small lanterns decorating the area, but you're welcome to add your own decorations to put a unique spin on the place for your event.
The best thing about the sixth floor space, though, is arguably the roof terrace. Quite literally over-looking Fleet Street, the spacious terrace comes complete with candle-lit lanterns, large sofas and snuggly chairs and is the piece de resistance of any special event. Imagine your guests clinking glasses as they look out to some of the city's most iconic landmarks.
The International Arbitration Centre welcomes events of all kinds, from corporate dos to wedding receptions, but can only offer dry hire at this time, so all catering, events planning and entertainment will be left to you.
