Few venues in London, or even the UK, are as iconic as the Houses of Parliament. Designed by Charles Barry in the 19th century, this landmark is home to some of the finest art and interiors in the country. Yet, for such a grand, historic venue, it is impressively versatile when it comes to events. With ten spaces available for hire, each with its own character, you’ll be spoiled for choice no matter what your requirements.
The largest space is the Members’ Dining Room, which can host up to 200 standing guests or 170 seated. The walls are adorned with flock wallpaper, wooden sculptures and the royal coat of arms above the entrance. All of this provides the ideal setting for corporate presentations, dinner and ceremonies, and your guests will undoubtedly leave impressed.
For smaller events, you might consider the Pugin Room. Dedicated to Augustus Pugin, who oversaw the interior design here, this space is perfect for small receptions of up to 60 or dinners of up to 20. Here, you and your guests can mingle or dine under the stunning gilt brass and crystal chandelier, surrounded by elegant portraits. The heated Terrace Pavillion, meanwhile, is ideal for summer Champagne receptions (or mulled wine receptions in winter), as well as corporate presentations.
Catering comes from the award-winning in-house kitchen team, who create seasonal menus guaranteed to delight your guests. There are many formats to choose from, including canapes all the way up to six-course feasts. Other services such as AV equipment, floral arrangements and even tours of the site are also available.
The Houses of Parliament are easily accessible by tube via Westminster, train via Victoria, bus or by riverboat. To start planning your event, simply fill in the enquiry form on the right and the team will be in touch to answer your questions.
