To mark the beginning of the autumn Jump Season, the hospitality team at the famous Jockey Club racecourse has launched new food and drink menus.
We were treated to the Montpelier buffet in one of the venue’s private boxes. Starters and delicatessen dishes include hot smoked salmon paté, vegetarian scotch eggs and honey and mustard glazed ham, while lamb shoulder with apricot and sage is carved to order. The cheeseboard is a particular highlight, with Westcombe cheddar, organic Bath Blue and Driftwood goat’s cheese being particular highlights.
When it comes to the drinks, Ridgeview’s Bloomsbury and Fitzrovia rosé are the English sparkling wines of choice, while Bibendum looks after the impressively varied wine list. Fancy something non-alcoholic? The Jockey Club Seedlip Serve (Seedlip Spice 94, aromatic Fever Tree tonic and orange zest) should keep betting on the more sensible side.
