Located in Henley, HOF’s Bar & Dining is a restaurant from the wine merchants of the same name, who supplied the local restaurant scene for a decade before deciding to get in on the action and set up their very own restaurant. HOF’s also doubles up as an event venue for hire, able to host a whole host of personal and corporate functions, ranging from wine tastings and birthday dinners to charity events and office parties.
At HOF’s, there are two dedicated event spaces to choose from. The first, and largest, is The Conservatory, which can accommodate large parties for sit-down meals. This is a light and airy space, which features distressed wooden flooring, sanded down tables and streams of natural light which flow through the sloping roof windows.
For smaller, more casual events, instead opt for The Wine Hub, which can accommodate up to 12 guests at one time. The Wine Hub is adjacent to The Conservatory and the two can be hired in tandem, although it works as its own space too. The Wine Hub is a cosy nook of the venue which comes complete with shelves lined with bottles of wine and oversized wooden beer barrels that double up as tables and are flanked by high stools. The area is well suited to wine tastings and HOF’s offers a selection of ready made packages to choose from, ranging from the HOF’s wine tasting experience to the ‘around the world’ package.
If you are planning on hosting a large party, you also have the option to hire out the venue in its entirety. You can make sure guests are well fed and watered thanks to HOF’s impressive list of global wines and its unique food menu, which comprises dishes inspired by the cuisines of South Africa, Germany and Switzerland.
