Who was triumphant at the Event Photography Awards 2018?
It was the EPAs biggest year yet. We headed to The British Museum to find out which of this year’s whopping 1,000 entries were victorious

This year marked the fifth Event Photography Awards. Run by Off To Work, the awards celebrate the talent of our industry’s photographers, with the night’s sponsors including the likes of The HAC, Perton Signs and Full Circle Events.

With more entries than ever before, the ceremony turnout was expected to be high. It didn’t disappoint: 300 guests descended on The British Museum’s BP Lecture Theatre to find out who had won each of the 12 categories.

Before the winners were revealed though, the final 80 entries were put on show in the theatre’s breakout area. Guests got to have a closer look at the contenders in each category – marking their top five favourites with gold stars –  and enjoying the circulating canapés from Bubble Food.

This year, two more categories (Food & Drink and Venues) were added alongside regulars such as Behind the Scenes, Corporate Events, Music Events and Weddings. The result? A smorgasbord of photographs that featured the likes of rock festivals, kitchen staff waiting for the beginning of service and firebreathing bartenders.
