EAT

Arrels destination focus palma majorca

With its seafront location in the resort of Illetas, Arrels by Marga Coll makes a big impression. Daily changing five-and seven-course tasting menus make the most of fresh ingredients: try the tomato tartare with cured sardines and black cuttlefish-ink pasta. Named after its British chef, Michelin-starred Marc Fosh is a good choice in the centre of Palma. The private dining room takes 12 guests, and smaller groups can dine to the sound of an indoor waterfall. A stylish interior with eclectic artwork complements the inventive and colourful dishes at Adrián Quetglas Restaurant. Try the five-course lunch tasting menu with paired wines.

MEET

Palau De Congressos De Palma Majorca Mallorca

Attached to the new Meliá Palma Bay hotel, the Palau de Congressos de Palma offers a 1,978-seat auditorium, 2,340sq m of exhibition space and 35 meeting rooms. The design of the Grand Auditorium allows everyone a clear view of the stage, and all seats have fold-over tabletops and USB ports. A smaller auditorium can seat 462 delegates, and the rest of the venue can be set up for small meetings, teambuilding days and breakout sessions. The airy interiors complement the Palau’s location on the Paseo Maritimo seafront. The terrace can be booked alongside a dining area for gala dinners with splendid views.

STAY

Sol Beach House Palma

A short drive from Palma in recently rebranded Magaluf, the adults-only Sol Beach House Mallorca mixes boutique touches with high-end service. You can’t beat the view from the Xtra Beach House Master Suite, which has its own private terrace, hot tub and canopy bed. In the centre of Palma, Gran Meliá Victoria is more business-focused, including 12 event spaces. Its bedrooms were refurbished in 2016 – the premium rooms have fine views of La Seu, the city’s Gothic cathedral. For ultimate privacy, there is the Puro Hotel Palma. The latest addition to this 18th-century palace is the Puro Private Wing, which comprises 11 twin rooms, a living room, roof deck and show kitchen; it can be booked exclusively for groups.

PLAY

Majorca Mallorca Nikki Beach

You’d be missing an opportunity if you didn’t head out on the water. Balearen Segeln offers catamarans, yachts and party ships for up to 145 guests for trips out at sea. Start in Palma and you can hit landmarks such as Sa Dragonera island or explore Porto Cristo’s Dragon Caves. Fancy something a little less strenuous? Nikki Beach Mallorca offers guests the kind of ultra-VIP treatment the exclusive club is rightly known for. Poolside, you’ll find canopy beds and plenty of beautiful people, while the main building houses two large spaces for cocktails and private dinners.
