What’s it all about?

The house was founded in 1818 in Mareuil-sur-Aӱ by Nicolas François Billecart and his wife Elisabeth Salmon. It’s now run by the sixth generation, brothers François and Antoine Roland-Billecart, who continue to live by the same family motto: ‘Give priority to quality, strive for excellence.’ In 2018 there is great excitement building around the planned 200th anniversary celebrations.

How does it taste?

The Brut Réserve NV is light, fine and harmonious; lemon-scented with a biscuity note. Pink styles are a strength, with the flagship cuvée Brut Rosé NV showing a light fruitiness and creamy texture.

Why we love Billecart Salmon

Fine acidity remains at the heart of the Billecart style, particularly in the vintage wines, which show remarkable elegance and age gracefully, gathering great complexity with time.
