A refreshing summer drink that can either show off the vodka (less lime) or produce first rate refreshment with a bit of alcoholic kick (more lime). Over 90% of all vodka tasted in the international markets is grain vodka, the rest is made from potatoes, but stylistically there is often little difference.
The most noticeable stylistic difference in vodka is often in the texture or mouth feel. One might be oily, almost visous in texture, like Absolut, while another might be watery, clean and slighlty medicinal. The former might have a slightly sweet finish, while the latter may be bone dry.
The third stylistic difference may be in the liquid's heat - from smooth, round and finished to hot, rough and raw. Vodka made by a master distiller is often smooth and round.
