Christmas is big business in Canary Wharf, and it’s no surprise that Roka Canary Wharf is incredibly popular over the festive period, thanks to its combination of outstanding Japanese cooking and ultra-reliable service. Found right in the heart of Canary Wharf, Roka is easy to get to whether you’re working in the wharf or travelling in, and offers a variety of spaces available for private hire.
Starting in the dining room, Roka’s sleek, modern styling is evident once again in a restaurant that glows with warm timber tones and mood lighting. Solid wood forms the majority of the restaurant, juxtaposed by the solid granite kitchen, where Roka’s roaring robata grill sits. As well as an assortment of large round tables, a carved wooden counter also provides counter dining space up close and personal with the kitchen.
The main dining room is available for private hire for those planning larger Christmas parties, with capacity of up to 80 guests across the whole space. Alternatively, head around to the lounge on the other side of the restaurant - a light, bright space that can host up to 20 guests. This is ideal for more informal canape and drink parties as it has direct access to the bar, but it can also host sit down private dinners.
Roka Canary Wharf’s crown jewel is the terrace, which you’ll find on the second floor. With space for up to 35 guests and panoramic windows that look out onto Canada Square, this is a phenomenally popular space, even in the winter when overhead heaters are deployed to keep the chill away. The space is completely weatherproof so this makes a beautiful Christmas dinner spot.
Christmas party guests can choose between Roka’s two tasting menus, which offer a range of different dishes at different price points. Don’t forget about Roka’s extensive drinks offering too, which includes a wine list, beers, spirits and a wide spectrum of signature cocktails to ring in the festive celebrations with.
