Rail House Victoria is a gorgeous, open-plan dining experience in the heart of Victoria, just a stone's throw from the train station. With a multi-toned, richly-textured design, atmospheric lighting concept and a split level space including a chic mezzanine, it effortlessly spans a restaurant, cocktail bar and place for events.
This Christmas, the team are welcoming private dining bookings to celebrate the festive season and have created themed menus, as well as offering a wealth of spaces to accommodate. For large parties, the main restaurant with its stand out central bar and double height ceilings is the ultimate place to host up to 80 guests, while the mezzanine has capacity for another 100.
If you're planning a more intimate do, perhaps for a smaller company or just your team, The Cabin is a wooden-clad dining room with statement windows and table for 16, while The Snug features a rust-hued, velvet banquette and green tiled walls, making for a stylish backdrop for a party of up to 24.
In terms of the menus, there are three Christmas menus available, each one sitting at a different price point. Plates are served sharing style for the entire table and on the feasting menu, for example, include a selection of starters such as smoked barbary duck with pickled dates, rocket and pomegranate, alongside crispy Korean BBQ aubergine and beetroot-cured gravadlax.
Mains look like roast turkey with apple and herb stuffing, or truffled portobello and sweet potato Wellington, as well as 45 day-aged native breed côte de boeuf and plenty of sides like roast potatoes and brussel sprouts. There's also pigs in blankets for an extra charge - but one we think is worth it! Then, for dessert, try sticky toffee brioche doughnuts out for size, plus mince pies and coffee for afters.
