Fancy hosting your Christmas party at one of London’s hottest restaurants? Evernight opened to great acclaim thanks to its spellbinding Japanese dishes and explorative sake list, and you can now hire it out for your Christmas party. Located in the heart of Nine Elms, this modern izakaya is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The restaurant can be booked in both an exclusive capacity, for shared Christmas parties, or for small groups looking to enjoy a sophisticated meal in its private dining room. Swap tinsel and fairy lights for clean lines, soft woods and cuboid lampshades this year with a Christmas party at Evernight.
The food menu highlights Japanese cookery techniques and micro-seasonality, with ingredients sourced from along the British Isles. Dishes are designed to be shared, and the menu is divided into light bites and snacks, small and larger dishes, so make sure to order a selection of them all. You might choose to start with the likes of a potato cake with petrossian trout roe, prawn and tsukune stuffed chicken wings, and Devon turbot with a shiso spring roll. From the small plates selection, examples include beef tataki with shoga dressing and negi onions, Cornish red mullet with mackerel and cuttlefish sashimi, and pork belly with red pepper and peach. While larger dishes feature sea bass with yuzu kosho, courgettes and tomatoes. Desserts are few, but by no means an afterthought, with exciting creations like coffee jelly with condensed milk and whisky. Do note that because the menu revolves heavily around the seasons, the menu changes often.
On the drinks front, there’s a curated wine list which focuses largely on French producers. But for a properly authentic experience, head straight to the sake and shochu menu for an extensive selection of premium bottles. There’s a short list of signature cocktails too, from a Yuzu Highball to a Shiso Drink.
