Another restaurant from the illustrious chef Gary Usher, Wreckfish is a convivial bistro serving up seasonal, high-quality British food in the centre of Liverpool. With a focus on produce and working with the seasons, guests who dine here are treated to uncomplicated, fresh, delicious food by a friendly team, who are passionate about what they do. An ideal spot for a celebration, Wreckfish is able to accommodate groups of up to 14 people in its private dining room. So, whether it’s a birthday, anniversary or something else you have in mind, this welcoming restaurant is a great place to enjoy great food and drink with loved ones.
Akin to the main dining room, the private dining space boasts a rustic aesthetic with red brick walls, wooden flooring and a large wood table in the centre of the space. While multiple large windows ensure the room feels light and airy if you’re dining in the day, while providing excellent views of the city at any time.
Guests are able to dine on the a la carte menu or bistro menu. Both include two or three courses for a fixed price, but the bistro menu is a regularly changing offering that aims to provide guests with an affordable, hyper-seasonal option. Examples of dishes include maple-cured salmon with caramelised lemon and mustard yoghurt and pickled celery to start, followed by chicken schnitzel with coronation style butter, golden raisins, toasted almonds, sauerkraut and coriander mayonnaise. While dessert might include chocolate ‘Oblivion’ with mint choc-chip ice cream and dark chocolate sauce.
For larger groups, do note that the entire restaurant is available for private hire if preferred. The main dining room can hold up to 90 seated guests if it’s a major celebration you’re planning.
