A year of free kebabs at BabaBoom, Battersea

What: As part of its first birthday celebrations, BabaBoom is offering one lucky diner a whole year of free kebabs. Throughout the birthday week, guests will receive a free dish or drink (from a selected range) when ordering a kebab, and one person will draw the winning ‘birthday card’ which will guarantee one kebab a week for a year – time to loosen that belt a little.

Picnic hamper from The Modern Pantry, Clerkenwell 

What: If you’re looking for a more chilled bank holiday vibe, why not grab a picnic hampers from The Modern Pantry’s shop in Clerkenwell, which features the likes of salads, homemade pastries and sandwiches. Ideal for enjoying in your fave London park (if the weather plays ball).

When: Available throughout the bank holiday weekend

Bank holiday party at Number 90, Hackney 

What: Number 90 is going all-out with a four-day-long summer festival, featuring live music and plenty of food and drink. Highlights include a bottomless brunch on Saturday followed by a late-night disco featuring a glitter station to get some sparkle. Head back on Sunday for a roast dinner and to battle a piñata, before closing things out on Monday with 2-for-1 on Bloody Marys.

Sunday lunch at Percy & Founders, Fitzrovia

What: After a weekend of partying, you’ll probably need a solid recovery meal. Percy & Founders serves up a great all-day roast (perfectly suited to those who enjoy their lie ins), featuring pork or chicken, with all the trimmings including roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, mash, veggies and Bloody Marys.

Brunch party at Rudie’s, Dalston

What: If you’re heading to Notting Hill Carnival this weekend, why not start east with a Jamaican brunch at Rudie’s? Alongside a live steel band playing from 12-3pm, the restaurant will be serving up the likes of The Full Jamaican – ackee and saltfish, jerk lamb sausages, baked butter beans, sautéed spinach calalloo, and boiled green banana. You can also stop by on your way home, with a DJ playing until 2am on Sunday.
