Originally named Meregate, meaning marsh gate, this fabulous seaside town has a lot of tales to tell. It was one of the first seaside resorts established in the UK; it was the first to introduce donkey rides as an activity and we can even credit it for coming up with the deckchair; it is no wonder this innovative seaside resort has developed into a town with so much character. Margate boasts a spectacular artistic scene, with bucket loads of upcoming artists and both old and new galleries, there is plenty to keep you entertained after a delicious meal.

With so many restaurants in Margate to choose from, you'll certainly not be going hungry. Use the left hand side bar to filter out the list of restaurants by ambiance, price point, cuisine and more, then click through to the restaurant pages for more information, images and booking details.
